Pat Nymberg
Education: BA in Education from the College of Mount St. Joseph
Experience with children: Pat taught Physical Education and Health for 16 years at Ursuline Academy, Walnut Hills and the Cincinnati Academy of Physical Education. She also has 20 years coaching experience in sports including basketball, soccer, swimming, and softball.
Family: Pat is married with four sons.
Kassandre Coughlin
Education: BS in Early Childhood Education with a PreKindergarten Special Needs endorsement from the University of Dayton in 2009
Experience with Children: Kassandre has 12 years of experience working with children in a variety of settings. She taught dance classes for 4 years during high school, and also worked in a daycare center during the summers while in college. She has also been teaching preschool special needs for the past 3 years for Carlisle Schools.
Family: Kassandre is one of four children, with her other siblings living in California and Pennsylvania.
Scott Day
Education: BA in middle childhood education from the College of Mount Saint Joseph in 2009.
Experience with Children: Scott has 7 years experience working at various summer camps in the Cincinnati area and has three year experience teaching science and math at St. Thomas More Elementary School.
Family: Scott grew up as the third of five children in a family of seven. He is getting married during the summer of 2012.
Nicole Guthrie
Education: BA in Psychology and BA in Spanish from the University of Toledo. MEd in counseling from Boston University.
Experience with Children: Nicole currently works as an elementary counselor in Fremont, OH. She also has 8 years coaching experience coaching girls and boys volleyball in various age groups.
Family: Nicole lives with her husband in Toledo, Ohio.
Jeff Haney
Education: B.S. in Biological Sciences from DePaul University in 2009, licensed to teach secondary education and will complete Masters Degree Xavier University in 2012.
Experience with Children: Jeff has about 10 years of experience teaching, coaching and working with children in various settings in Cincinnati, Ohio and Chicago, Illinois. He played and taught tennis for years in Cincinnati before attending school in Chicago where he taught summer tennis camps and worked as a kayak instructor and tour guide on the Chicago River. Most recently, he has volunteered and coached youth ultimate frisbee and currently works as an 8th grade Biology teacher.
Family: Jeff is the second youngest of five children born and raised on the west side of Cincinnati.
Mel Pikar
Education: BA in Education from Eastern University
Experience with Children: Melanie taught Physical Education for 17 years at Northern Elementary (Pendleton Co., Ky.), St. Catherine in Ft. Thomas Ky., and at Immaculate Heart of Mary Elementary. She also has 5 years experience in coaching Cross Country and Softball.
Family: Melanie has 2 sons.
Molly Harloff
Education: BA in Education from Francis Marion University
Experience with Children: Molly is in her fourth year of teaching in schools on the west side of Cincinnati. She also has many years of coaching experience.
Family: Molly is married and has two daughters.
Angela Holtgrefe
Education: BA in Physical Education from the University of Dayton
Experience with Children: Angela is in her second year of teaching Physical Education at St. Thomas More School in Cincinnati. Angela came up through the ranks of Laffalot starting as a counselor in 2006, and later becoming an Asst. Director, and then a Director as she got older.
Family: Angela lives with her parents and two younger sisters in Milford.
Carla Siegel
Education: BA in Education from the College of Mount St. Joseph, and Masters from the University of Dayton.
Experience with children: Carla has 19 years of teaching experience, primarily with grades 2-5. She has also coached at the high school level, 4 years as a Varsity Softball Coach, and 18 years as a Basketball Coach. She has worked as a Director of Laffalot Camps for 4 years.
Jana Bishop
Education: BA in Education from the University of Cincinnati.
Experience with Children: Jana taught Physical Education for 24 years at St. Martin’s, Little Flower, St. Savior, and St. Vincent Ferrer elementary schools, and Hopewell Elementary (Lakota School District.) She also tutors and has 5 years experience coaching basketball, soccer, and cheerleading.
Family: Jana is married and has 2 sons and a daughter.
